The
Aberdare Country Club nestles on the slopes of Mwegia Hill in a 1,300 acre wildlife
sanctuary. It enjoys splendid views of the plains below, with the Aberdare range
of mountains to the west and Mount Kenya to the east. The club is a haven of unharried
charm set in gardens bursting with a profusion of colour, with peacocks stalking
the lush lawns. A popular venue for conferences, a choice of three rooms are available.
The rooms will accomodate groups of 16 to 80 people depending on the layout. Each
room is equipped with a full range of audio-visual equipment. The Aberdare Country
Club also offers some secretarial facilities. Offering first class cuisine with
a selection of European, Asian and Kenyan dishes, the dining room is situated
in the main building along the lounge bar.

club has 48 en-suite rooms, 28 twins and 20 double-bedded rooms,
38 of which are cottages all with spectacular views of the plains
below. A total of 107 guests can be catered for. All rooms have
private bathrooms with shower and telephone. The cottages have
two bedrooms, each with interconnecting doors and some with fireplaces.
A balcony provides superb views of either Mount Kenya or a pretty
woodland. Other facilities within the Aberdare Country Club include
a swimming pool, 9-hole golf course, putting green, walking safaris,
horse riding, 2 tennis courts, trout fishing, night game drives,
bush banquets, gift shop and sanctuary weddings. |
