Mara
Serena is one of the premier safari lodges in Masai Mara, Kenya. Located in the mid north western part of the game reserve, the lodge is popular with discerning travellers not least because of the superb views from the hill top location of the lodge, overlooking the vast Mara plains below.
The lodge draws its design inspiration from the traditional Maasai homestead, composed of Mantattas, domed mud huts encircled to form a "Boma" or cluster of huts. The result is a modern yet wonderfully traditional looking lodge that blends in with the surroundings.

The lodge
features
rooms each with a private balcony looking out towards the wildlife rich plains. The rooms are compact, inroder to be eco friendly, but are comfortable and spacious enough due to their thoughtful design.
The hotel also offers quality cuisine at it's main restaurant and has a bar and room service. Rooms have telephones and some have internet access. The lodge also offers gamedrives and nature walks for those who have not pre booked a safari with an operator.

Shoor Opinion :
One of the best lodges in Masai Mara and an award winner to boot - the biggest attraction for many is the setting with the beautiful views, and the well appointed rooms and service.The minus point is that the lodge is a longer drive by road than some other lodges [by 1 hour] and when wet one is better off taking the 1 hour flight from Nairobi.
