Tucked
away on a private ranch within the vast 9,000 sq kilometer Laikipia Plains
is Mugie Camp. We have our own corner of Africa all to ourselves - 46,000
acres of it. Discover wildlife from the back of a horse or a camel, walk
on the wild side, and discern the difference between a genet and a civet
on a night game drive. Mugie Camp nestles up against an olive forest.
The plains spread out before you in a seemingly endless undulation of
valleys and acacia trees. Laikipia was the setting for the famous book
"I dreamed of Africa" written by neighbouring ranch owner and conservatiomst
Kuki Gallman. Look out for the rare northern species of grevy's zebra
and reticulated giraffe only found in this area of Samburu. Whilst in
Mugie Camp, your luxury and comfort are our priority; your individual
tents are your private retreat, sundowners are a special feature.
