Built
in the early 1900s the Arusha was the only hotel in town and was
situated in the commercial area between the Boma and the Clock
Tower (Galonos clock). Back then, it was called Bloom's, after
its Jewish owner and was: 'nothing more than a whitewashed, mud-brick
building with a roof of corrugated iron sheeting. Now, the New
Arusha Hotel, situated with a stunning view of Mount Meru, is
set in a beautifully landscaped garden with all the amenities
