Rufiji River Camp is located in the north eastern part of the Selous Game Reserve, on high bank overlooking the mighty Rufiji River and beyond. The camp sits on environmental friendly reserve, and offers the guests a cahnce to see hundreds of hippos that usally flock to the river to quech their thirst and crocodilies that laze in the sun on the sandbanks of the river. The camp boats of an airstrip called Mtemere, with daily scheduled flight coming from Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Zanzibar..

The Rufiji River Camp has 20 comfortable tents, each with twin beds, private bathroom, protective mosquito nets and a verandah with magnificent views. The structure in the central part hosts the restaurant, the bar and the library, which are constantly renovated to make sure that they maintain the standards required. The camp also provides safe deposits box for the visitors' valuables at the camp's reception .
