Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge - Taita Hills, Kenya

Located in the heart of the Sanctuary, Sarova Salt Lick Lodge is a truly unique concept consisting of 96 rooms elevated on stilts, each overlooking a
waterhole and linked by suspended walkways.

The lodge also has walkways, tunnel with bunker and special windows for close up viewing of game at the floodlit waterhole at night. Its name is taken from its
setting a natural salt lick which was a congregating place for
the neighborhood's salt-hungry residents.

The lodge lies on the outskirts of Tsavo West National Park. The sanctuary where the Salt Lick Lodge is located was once a sisal plantation. it is now a successful animal sanctuary with abundant game.
