Set in the heart of the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary, in the Mwaluganje Hills and a 45 km drive from Mombasa, Kenya's seaport and Coast capital, the camp is set along the shoulder of a low hill facing a traditional elephant trail, allowing guests to watch the elephants from the comfort of their well-appointed luxury tents. It is the only tented camp in this new sanctuary and guests have the entire 6,000 acres to themselves. The camp consists of 20 twin-bedded tents each with its private timber verandah, shower with hot and cold water, WC and wash hand basin. The tents are comfortably furnished to a very high standard. The sanctuary is close to the south coast beach resorts and offers virtually guaranteed sightings of large numbers of elephants, in perfect safety.
