Grumeti River Camp - Serengeti, Tanzania
|
|
|
 |
Grumeti River Camp is situated in a remote valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park, 50 kms east of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake.
This wilderness is not only famous for its river but also for the thousands and thousands of animals during the Wildebeest migration.
Not surprisingly, the river is equally renowned for its gigantic crocodiles which
are particularly well fed during this migration season as they prey on the
hapless wildebeest crossing the river. |

The guest areas of this intimate camp include an open-fronted sitting area, a lounge area and domed bar. The interior design is colourful and "funky" with
unusual beaded artefacts.

At night one can even hear the hippos bellowing in the lake nearby.
Each tent is fully equipped and furnished in a luxurious colonial style and disposes of an outside shower.
The camp provides guided safaris in open vehicles, bird watching and excursions to Lake Victoria. |
