Situated in the centre of Shella Village, The Island Hotel is only four minutes walk from the fabulous Shella Beach. Decorated in traditional Swahili style, the hotel offers 15 rooms with private bathroom, including three family rooms and a Penthouse. All rooms have fans and mosquito nets. The Barracuda Rooftop Restaurant at Island Hotel has a justly earned reputation for tasty Swahili food and delicious sea food. In the open air extension you can dine under the stars. Vegetarians are catered for. The restaurant is not licensed to serve alcohol. We can organize any dhow trips or sea-sports like fishing, dhow sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, wind surfing water skiing. Take our guided tour of nearby Lamu town its lively, narrow streets without motor traffic & many mosques lend an atmosphere of a by-gone age.
