As
Kenyas first luxury hotel, The Stanley Hotel has always occupied a special place
in Nairobi's heart. From the days it opened its doors in 1902, it has been making
history - hosting royal safaris, ground breaking business events and a long line
of living legends. Today, as the Stanley enters its second century it is once
again making history - by readopting its original name and much of its original
character.
From the moment you pass through the century old revolving
doors, you leave the heat and bustle of modern Nairobi for a world of cool Victorian
elegance. The spacious foyer at The Stanley Hotel, with its marble floors, leather
furniture, and antique brass and wrought-iron fittings, recalls a graceful era
of furnishings and grand living.

The
217 luxurious rooms, the largest in Nairobi, blend Victorian grandeur and comfort
with all the practical amenities of the 21st Century. The Club Rooms are the most
spacious rooms in the hotel and offer pure indulgence such as, luxury bathrobes
and slippers, deluxe toiletries and daily room courtesies. The expansive executive
rooms at The Stanley Hotel have spacious bedrooms, walk-in wardrobes, en suite
lounges and two bathrooms, while the upper floors offer new heights of luxury
in the sumptious Presidential, Penthouse and State suites. There is also a fully
equipped healthclub and three fine resturants - The Exchange Bar, The Zen Resturant
and The Pool Deck Resturant.

Shoor Opinion
The hotel has a long history and offers good service and nice
rooms. Has undergone refurbishments to keep it upto standard.
Location in the middle of town without enclosed parking, does
have its disadvantages.
