Asha Cottage - Mombasa, Kenya

Asha cottage is a sea-front family-run boutique hotel, located in Diani Beach at the South Coast of Mombasa, Kenya. It offers guests an atmosphere of quality comfort, tranquillity and privacy. has a lovely well maintained fresh water swimming pool set among palm trees with umbrellas and sun beds, a large gold fish pond under well established flamboyant trees and lovely grounds where guests can go
for a private, quiet sun downer or meal.

Asha Cottage has a separate air conditioned snooker room equipped with a half
size snooker table, a lovely card table for bridge and card games, chess or
back gammon and a dart board. There is also a little outside deck
overlooking the ocean.

Asha Cottage has 5 guest rooms (approximately 25 m2 each) decorated with a combination of African fabrics and artwork, Afghan rugs, European art, Swahili style Lamu ceilings, terra cotta floor tiles and solid mvuli carpentry work. All rooms have king-sized beds with mosquito nets and their own spacious bathroom, air conditioning and ceiling fans, and mosquito netting on all windows..

Asha cottage also has a small local boat (ngalawa) with which guests can go snorkelling or simply meander on the reef (exposed at low tide only) which is about 1.5 kilometres from the high tide mark. Right across the street from Asha cottage is Diani Beach's
largest and newest commercial complex.

Asha Cottage offers fine dining, tailored to the guests preferences and dietary needs. In the mornings there is a full continental breakfast. A cooked english breakfast of eggs
and bacon is also available upon request. During lunch time available for consumption
around the pool or the pond, on the ledge, the snooker room deck, or the main
verandah, offers a selection of fresh salads and sandwiches.The Seafood Menu is available at lunch and or dinner. It offers a selection of fresh crab, prawns, calamari and lobster, all of which may be prepared in many ways.
