Mapito Tented Camp - Serengeti, Tanzania

Mapito Tented Camp is situated at Ikoma at the boundaries of Serengeti National Park. It is a small camp with 9 spacious walk-in tents which provide an intimate atmosphere for only 16 people, with excellent service from the friendly staff.

The tents are equipped with running hot water bucket showers, mosquito nettings and electricity powered by solar energy throughout the day. Personal attention
and care is of high importance in Tanzania.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be taken in the mess tent or on its terrace, or just
under the African sky. Romantic candlelight dinners can be arranged under stars.
Soups are made from scratch with homemade stock. Supplies of fresh
fruits and vegetables are available.

Excellent South African wines, cold sodas, soft drinks, beer and some liquors are
all available.

Each luxury tent has its own spacious private verandah with a comfortable table and chairs, overlooking the Serengeti plains. One can choose between two twin beds
or one king size bed. The beds have pillows, blankets and sheets.

Each tent is equiped with chairs, tables, a luggage rack, a large double bed or twin
beds with mosquito netting, and kerosine lamps surround the tent. There is solar
powered lights in the tents.
