The
game drives in this sector of Moremi take one down winding tracks,
through Mopane forests and across lush grasslands. The waterways
are either forded by vehicles or crossed on rustic log bridges.
It is one of the only camps in this area to offer guests an all
year round combination land and water experience; safaris to discover
the abundant wildlife and exceptional bird life of the area are
undertaken in open 4x4 land rovers, as well as by powerboat and
traditional dugout canoe (mokoro).
Birding in the area is excellent, especially in the spring and
summer months when the migrants are breeding. To the north are
the world famous heronries, which attract large numbers of breeding
storks and herons. |
