Its proximity to the Ruaha River provides ample opportunity to hear and see animals coming to drink at night. Game is undisturbed and often seen in between the sprawling accommodation areas, all of which have river views.
The lodge is a low key affair, with relaxed atmosphere. Meals and drinks are provided
in two different areas splitting the accommodation areas. This means that the lodge always feels small and cozy, with never more than 20 people in the dining area or bar at any time.
The bedrooms are then 28 detached cottages (known as 'bandas') that sit along the
banks of the river, and reached on sandy, stone-lined pathways.
Each is incredibly spacious (quite vast) and comfortable, with a large verandah,
a small
lounging area, a double and a single bed and an en-suite bathroom.
