itinerary

Day 1
08:00 hrs start of Safari in Nairobi with a scenic drive down into the Great Rift Valley onwards to Masai Mara. Enroute briefly stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint where you can take photos of the stunning views of the world's largest valley.

Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp depending on your booking preference.

Enjoy some time at rest after which at 3.30pm you enjoy your very first African Safari gamedrive exploring the scenic Masai Mara plains, allowing you to spot the unrivalled wildlife in this reserve. By 6.30pm you return to your overnight lodge or camp.

Day 2
A full day in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon gamedrives.

As your safari is private your gamedrive timings are flexible, you may choose to have a full day gamedrive [ one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch for at no extra cost.

Return to your lodge by evening.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Game Lodge.

Day 3
Full day at Masai Mara with morning and afternoon gamedrives. You may want to add a Maasai Village visit or a Hot air Balloon ride into your safari [ at extra cost- please enquire with us] .

Rest of the morning at leisure - you may just want to relax by the pool or perhaps book an added activity such as a nature walk or a relaxing massage { extra activities at additional cost}.

After lunch, proceed for your second afternoon to evening private gamedrive exploring more of the reserve's wildlife.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Game Lodge.

Day 4
Conclude your stay in the Mara with a shorter early morning gamedrive followed by breakfast.

Your Safari now takes you to Lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake which is a popular tourist spot in Kenya for locals and foreigners alike.

Arrive in time for lunch.

Rest of the day at leisure - the lodge we book at the lake offer beautiful natural spaces where you can see numerous bird species among the trees as well as spot some animals ranging from waterbuck to warthogs.

You may also choose to book a one hour Lake Boat Safari at extra cost during which you get to see some of the lake's wildlife such as hippos as well as enjoy the picturesque views of the lake and surrounding highland landscapes.

Day 5
Today you can savour a relaxed breakfast as you only need to start your journey to Lake Nakuru National park by 9 am after breakfast.

Lake Nakuru is not only a Unesco World Heritage site but also a Bird & Rhino sanctuary where you also get to see Lion and Leopard.

Arrive by midday and proceed to your booked accommodation for a leisurely lunch.

At 3,30 pm embark on comprehensive game drive of this scenic park including visits to viewpoints which offer superb photo opportunities. Return to the lodge/camp for by 6.30pm.

Day 6
After early morning game drive and breakfast, depart for the semi-arid Samburu Game Reserve. Enroute stop briefly at the Equator Crossing point.

Samburu, apart from its distinct appearance, semi-arid yet very beautiful, almost Classic Africa in a sense, is famous for a few of its species found only in this area – such as the Grevy’s Zebra, which differs in physical features from its cousin the Grants Zebra. Likewise you might want to look out for the Reticulated Giraffe with its unique pattern, differing from the Rothschild Giraffe commonly found in the rest of East Africa.

After lunch at the Samburu Game Lodge, right by the Ewaso Nyiro river, you will enjoy some time at rest, perhaps for an afternoon siesta, after which you will be taken for your first Samburu Safari, exploring the reserve and spotting the rich wildlife. Return to the lodge by evening, typically by 6.30pm. Dinner follows:

Day 7
Today you have an early rise for your estimated 6.15am Safari game drive during which you will see more of the Samburu’s vast wilderness. Early morning, and late afternoon are considered the best times to spot animals at their most active.

Return to the Lodge for a relaxed breakfast – rest of the morning at leisure. The lodge has a swimming pool and also offers a variety of add-on activities, such as nature walks { optional activities are a extra cost }.

After the sumptuous lunch, take a late afternoon safari game drive before returning to the Lodge by evening [ typically 6 to 6.30pm] in time for a relaxed evening which may be enlivened by entertainment provided by the lodge, followed by dinner.

Overnight Samburu Game Lodge.

Day 8
After breakfast, depart for the luxurious Sweetwaters Tented Camp located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, world famous for their wildlife conservation efforts and for their collection of amazing wildlife which includes the only place in Kenya and most of East Africa where one can spot Chimpanzee in environments close to their native forests.

Arrive at the Sweetwaters Camp late morning, for check in after which you enjoy a sumptuous lunch. At 3pm embark on a adventure filled safari game drive inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy including a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Return to the camp by dusk at 6pm for dinner and overnight.

Day 9
Enjoy full day at Ol Pejeta Conservancy with morning and afternoon gamedrives. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10
After a relaxed buffet breakfast, you will leave for a scenic driveback to Nairobi to catch your return flight home.
