Chyulu Hills
National Park
|
Located in south east close to Tsavo West national park, Chyulu Hills is a dramatic, partly semi arid range of hills, formed by lava flows. The park is hoem to a variety of wildlife though lesser in diversity than some of the major parks in Kenya.
The peak of Kilimanjaro
can be seen to the west, thoguh only on a clear day. The park comprises the eastern
flanks of the Chyulu hills including about half the forested
area. The park boundary runs down the centre of the hills
along the line of peaks.
The remaining western portion of
the hills is part of the West Chyulu Game Conservation Area
and owned by several Maasai group ranches. |
